We’re Susan and Brendan, Australians who fell in love with France over 20 years ago. Since then, we’ve been restoring historic homes and sharing our passion for authentic travel. At Essentially French, we don’t offer a typical tour—we invite you into our home in Provence for a truly personal and immersive experience.

Our small group tours (just six guests) are based in our 13th-century home in Mazan. Forget hotel hopping and bus tours—here, you’ll settle into your own private suite, each taking up an entire floor, with a bedroom, bathroom, lounge, and kitchen or kitchenette. The house is filled with inviting spaces to unwind—a library, sunroom, courtyard, balcony, and a grand salon where we gather each evening with local wine in hand, sharing stories of the day’s adventures.
